Throbbing, persistent, or sudden tooth pain can indicate infection, decay, or nerve damage. During your emergency appointment, we’ll assess the cause and provide immediate relief, whether that means a filling, a root canal, or temporary protection until we can schedule your next steps.

Any facial swelling, gum inflammation or pus around a tooth often signals a serious dental infection. If you suspect a dental abscess, don’t wait to book an appointment; they require urgent treatment to prevent the infection from spreading. We’ll act quickly to control the infection and relieve pressure.

Broken or chipped teeth

Some dental emergencies are accidental – if you’ve chipped a front tooth or cracked a molar, our Lincoln dentists offer immediate repairs to restore strength, function and appearance with same-day treatments like composite bonding. Early treatment can prevent the need for complex procedures.

When you arrive for your emergency appointment at our dental practice on Burton Road, we’ll begin with a focused assessment that identifies the cause of your dental emergency. Any X-rays that are taken to confirm our diagnosis are not covered in your emergency fee (charged at £15).

Our first priority will be to provide immediate pain relief and stabilise the problem. Where possible, we’ll complete restorative treatment on the same day. If further treatment is required, we can implement temporary solutions, discuss next steps, and explain your options for moving forward.

We offer same-day fast repairs for cosmetic emergencies, as we know these can be just as concerning for patients.
