Anterior/Canine

Root canal treatment on front teeth (incisors and canines) is usually quicker as they have a single root, making infection removal more straightforward.

From £570

Premolar

Premolar root canal treatment is slightly more complex as these teeth often have multiple roots. Each canal is carefully cleaned, the infection removed, and the tooth restored.

Molar

The process is similar to premolar root canal treatment, as molars often have more canals, which can make the treatment slightly more complex.

What to expect

Your root canal procedure with Castle Dental

You’ll begin with a check-up appointment with root canal dentist, Dr Palmer, who has extensive training in endodontics, including a Postgraduate Diploma from Chester University and additional training at Leeds Dental Institute, to determine whether a root canal is the most appropriate procedure.

This will include a full exam and X-rays to confirm the extent of the infection. When we’re ready to clear the infection, we’ll begin by gently numbing the area to ensure you remain comfortable (you won’t feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure).

Our dentists, with 25 years of experience, will remove the infected tissue from inside the tooth, clean and shape the canals, and disinfect the area before sealing it securely.

Sometimes, to complete the procedure, we may recommend a dental crown a few weeks later to strengthen and protect the tooth in the long term.
